Ingredients

  • 1 bottle frozen whiskey bottles pre-frozen overnight for best results
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1 half lemon for a splash of fresh citrus flavor
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or regular ice

Equipment

  • Freezer
  • Blender

Method

  1. Place the pre-frozen whiskey bottles, simple syrup, and a squeeze of lemon juice into the blender.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, covering the liquid ingredients.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, icy, and has a slushy consistency—this should take about 30–60 seconds.
  4. Stop the blender and check the texture—if it's too runny, add more ice and blend again until thickened.
  5. Pour the frozen slushie into glasses, using a spoon if necessary, to serve immediately with straws or spoons.
  6. Garnish with a twist of lemon or a sprig of fresh herbs if desired, then serve and enjoy the refreshing, icy cocktail.

Notes

Ensure the whiskey is well frozen overnight for optimal slushiness. Adjust sweetness according to your taste with more syrup or lemon. Serve immediately for the best texture.
